Client Overview
The Town of Deer Lake is located in Western Newfoundland at the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and Route 430, the Viking Trail. The Town is a vibrant, growing community with over 5,000 residents and it is strategically located as a gateway to the Great Northern Peninsula and Labrador. Nearby Deer Lake Airport is the air-link hub for western Newfoundland.

Project Overview
The Town of Deer Lake is requesting quotations for the repairs to three (3) structures of a sloped roof design owned by the Town of Deer Lake.
1. Public Works Depot, West Section, Gatehouse Road – Structure roof is approximately 5000 square feet flashing that joints the two buildings within the structure will be included in the project.
2. Waste Water Treatment Facility Building – This building has a sloped from of approximately 1500 square feet.
3. Storage Shed, Public Works Depot – This building has a sloped roof consisting of approximately 2500 square feet.
The objective of this project is to eliminate and prevent leaks and repair/ replace the shingles on all three (3) buildings.

THE QUOTE MUST BE SUBMITTED TO TOWN MANAGER MAXINE HAYDEN IN A SEALED ENVELOPE NO LATER THAN THURSDAY AUGUST 18TH, 2022 BEFORE 2:00 PM.

Work can begin any date after August 18th but all work must be completed by September 30th, 2022.

The contractor will be responsible for:
– Supplying all equipment and materials.
– Mobilization and Demobilization of all equipment.
– All cost associated in the operation of the equipment.
– installation of any materials required for the project.
-Removal of all debris resulting from the work herein required shall be removed from the work site and disposed of in a trash dumpster supplied by the contractor.

The Town of Deer Lake will provide guidance to the contractor on the work to be completed.

The owner reserves the rights, in its sole and absolute discretion to:
1. Amend the scope of work of the RFP, and /or modify, cancel or suspend the RFP at any time for any reason.
2. Reject, disqualify or not accept any or all proposals without any obligation, compensation or reimbursement to any proponent or any of its team members.
3. Re- advertise for new proposals to this or a modified RFP, call for quotes, proposals or tenders, or enter into negotiations for this work or for work of similar nature.
4. Amend from time to time, any date, time period or deadline provided in this RFP upon written notice to all proponents.

Timelines and Additional Requirements:
The project must be completed by September 30th, 2022,
The contractor must adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations.
