Starting December 1st to April 30th, no person shall park any vehicle on town streets between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 am. Minimum fine will be $25.00.

Residents reminded to not put snow in roadways

Residents of Deer Lake are asked to obey laws prohibiting the placement of snow on town roadways. Town crews can encounter difficulties because people are using snowblowers and other means to remove snow from their property. Unfortunately in doing so, residents often leave the snow on the street. When this occurs, it impedes traffic, creates a safety hazard for people walking and creates extra costs for snow clearing. The town will report anyone found doing this to the RCMP for the laying of charges and prosecution under the Highway Traffic Act.
