TOWN OF DEER LAKE
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL PLAN
AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
Deer Lake Town Council has received an application to amend its Municipal Plan and
Development Regulations to allow the development of a residential subdivision on the east
side of Humber River between Humber View Road and Old Bonne Bay Road. As shown
below, the amendment will redesignate approximately 4.7 hectares from CONSERVATION
to RESIDENTIAL and another 3.2 hectares from COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL to
RESIDENTIAL. The western boundary of the amended area will lie an average of 44 metres
from the Humber River shoreline and will come no closer than 30 metres from the shoreline.
The proposed amendment is available for viewing at the Town Office and on Council’s
website (www.deerlake.ca). Objections and other representations may be submitted in
writing to the Town Clerk on or before 3:00 PM, Monday, April 25, 2022.
