The Government of Newfoundland Water Resources Division has issued a Flood Watch for the Humber River and areas along the Humber River and Deer Lake.
Water levels are expected to remain elevated over the next few days. Mild temperatures, melting snow, and periods of rain or showers may contribute to increased streamflows, especially along the Humber River.
Residents in waterfront or low-lying areas are encouraged to review their property, stay aware of changing conditions, and be prepared in the event water levels continue to rise.
For safety, please avoid riverbanks, fast-moving water, and areas where flooding may occur. Continue to monitor local updates and advisories.
Further updates will be shared through Voyent Alert when required. Residents are encouraged to register for Voyent Alert and monitor deerlake.ca for information.
