TOWN OF DEER LAKE – PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL PLAN & DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
TO ALLOW A RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME
Deer Lake Town Council has adopted an amendment to allow the development of a
residential care home on the Northern Peninsula Highway, approximately two
kilometers north of the Reidville intersection. As shown on the map below, the
amendment will rezone approximately 13 hectares from RURAL to PUBLIC USE.
A Public Hearing to consider objections or other representations on the
amendments will be held at the Deer Lake Town Office at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday,
March 31, 2026. The draft amendments can be viewed on at the Town Office or on
Council’s website.
Persons who wish to comment on the amendments shall submit a written
statement or email outlining their objection or other representation. If no
submission is received by 3:30 p.m., Friday, March 27, the Public Hearing may
be cancelled.
