The Deer Lake water supply is among the best and safest supplies of municipal drinking water in the world. The source, Grand Lake, provides an unlimited supply of good quality water to the Town.
A modern delivery system is connected to the Deer Lake Power Supply Penstocks. It is a gravity based system which has chlorination and two stage filtering with the most up to date water purification technology available.
Municipal Sewage Disposal
Deer Lake, Newfoundland, is equipped with a municipal sewage disposal system that serves the majority of the community. The treatment of raw sewage is carried out through a lagoon system situated at the eastern end of the town.
