Reminder to Residence that the Town of Deer Lake’s Winter Parking Ban is in effect starting today, December 1. This ban is necessary to safely and effectively clear snow from streets.
Roadways MUST be kept clear of vehicles between December 1 and April 30. Vehicles found parked on the road allowance during the hours of 12 – 8am will be subjected to a ticket and/or towed. Snow clearing and sanding may be delayed by vehicles disabled in deep snow, vehicles parked on the road allowance, severe weather, whiteout conditions, and unforeseen emergencies.
Tickets will be issued any time of the day to anyone parked on the street and interfering with snow clearing operations after a heavy snowfall.
The Town is asking residents to not use steel poles for marking boundary lines, ditches, etc. due to the possibility of damages to town equipment and personal property during snow clearing, we recommend wood or plastic as a source of markings if needed.
