Water Conservation Notice
July 10th, 2025
With this summer’s warm and dry weather, residents are asked to limit their outdoor water use to protect the water supply and water treatment infrastructure. The Town of Deer Lake’s water supply and treatment facility is experiencing a higher-than-usual demand.
Businesses and Residents are asked to conserve outdoor water usage so water demand can be addressed before it reaches a critical point and further actions are needed.
Through this notice, lawn watering is only permitted at the following times:
- EVEN street numbers, between 6 and 8 a.m., and 8 and 10 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
- ODD street numbers, between 6 and 8 a.m., and 8 and 10 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- No lawn watering on Monday.
- Hand watering of lawns and gardens is permitted at any time.
- Residents with a new lawn may water it between 6 and 8 a.m. and 8 and 10 p.m. every day for 60 days following installation.
Residents can wash cars or house windows, provided it is done with a hose with a shut-off nozzle.
