Out of respect for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation the Town of Deer Lake will be closing their office at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 30th, 2021.
Residents are encouraged to wear orange throughout the day. The Town of Deer Lake will hold a vigil at 8:00pm tomorrow evening along the tree line on Main Street.
Residents are encouraged to visit the area to raise awareness of the very tragic legacy of residential schools, and to honour the thousands of survivors.
