REPORTING OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS 2021

Upon the closure of polls at 8:00pm on September 28th, 2021 candidates and the general public will be provided two opportunities to view election results throughout the evening as votes are counted.

BOWATER’S FIELD

Bowater’s Field on Poplar Road will have a projection screen erected at the stage located on the field to display election results throughout the evening.
• Motorists will be permitted to park on Bowater’s Field, an FM transmitter (frequency 99.9 FM) will be used to transmit election results to those parked on the field.
• Barricades will be placed on the field to direct traffic. A space near the stage will be made available for those who wish to exit their vehicle to observe results on the projection screen while adhering to Public Health guidelines.

ONLINE RESULTS

The Deer Lake Live YouTube Channel that was utilized for the Candidates Forum along with the Town of Deer Lake Facebook page and deerlake.ca will be used to display results online. These platforms will allow both candidates and residents the ability to view election results from home.

POST RESULTS REMARKS

Any candidate that wishes to address the group on Bowater’s Field will be given an opportunity to do so upon the final results being posted. These post result remarks are not a requirement, merely an opportunity to speak should one chose to do so.
