Climate

Deer Lake and area has a micro-climate and enjoys a higher percentage of sunshine than any other place in the province, except Goose Bay in Labrador, which is similar but colder in winter. Summers are warm and pleasant and the winters cold and crisp with adequate snow for skiing and snowmobiling.
